The purpose of this class is to provide maintenance personnel with a basic understanding of process instrumentation, signal types, wiring, applications, and installation. The class teaches specific calibration and troubleshooting procedures using a combination of classroom and hands-on training. Live instruments are used to simulate your plant’s operating conditions.

Wonderware InTouch Basic
Students are introduced to Wonderware’s HMI products and are taught how to define communications, retrieve data, create schedules, add field devices, and manage security. Students will perform a number of labs using water and wastewater applications to reinforce the experiential learning process.

RSLogix 5000 Fundamentals
The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the Rockwell RSLogix 5000 PLC programming platform and familiarize the student with basic PLC programming and troubleshooting techniques specific to the water and wastewater industry. Examples of existing PLC applications will be used to demonstrate various PLC programming techniques. Students will perform a number of labs to reinforce the experiential learning process.
